I have a poem that’s just come out in Issue #4 of new words press – I have a lot of fondness for this piece – it’s about understanding the soft power that comes with empowering yourself, and incidentally becoming a role model for others. It’s also extremely trans. I hope that you check out a copy!

I’m going to be teaching a poetry workshop as part of the Circa Queer Histories Festival on October 13th at One Gallery! This will be the second time that I’ve taught this particular workshop as part of the Trans/gressive Writers Workshop. If you’d like to check it out it’s Dreaming Trans Futures: Creative Writing, Community, and Liberation. My section of the workshop will be about the political importance of understanding your desires. I’m adding some new poems to the mix and thinking about different points to bring up this time, so even if you attended my workshop in May at the Ruby Fruit, you’ll find something new to mull over.
